When a Super Fan activates the link, they are routed to the Pivot website. Once they subscribe, the owner of the original link shares a percentage of that Super Fan’s monthly subscription fee for the life of their subscription, be it 1 month or 24 months.

Releasing Content
How do I get started?
Provide information regarding your metadata like genre, featured producers and actors, and submit your release. Once we review your metadata, we will send you a license agreement for your content. Once you return the license agreement, you send your content to Pivot.
How do I send my content?
Digital transmission is preferred. You can connect your Dropbox account to Pivot, or you may send your content on a hard drive to the address below. You must send your hard drive using a mailing method that has a tracking number.

How will my content be streamed?
Pivot distributes content to AppleTV, Roku, Amazon Fire, Android and IOS smartphones.
Should I take down my content hosted by other distributors when I switch to Pivot?
When transferring content from another distributor to Pivot, we recommend that you request the other distributor remove your content from their platforms once Pivot has delivered your content successfully. The guidelines of streaming services and platforms rarely allow the release of the same through multiple distribution services.
When will my content be live on Pivot?
You can expect your content to go live within 7 days of providing your content to Pivot. You choose your release date within your Pivot agreement.
How can I check my streaming performance?
You can monitor your streaming data within our website. Whether you are distributing your first form of content or have over a million followers, personalized insights served alongside your streaming data help you monitor your performance with precision, particularly during key moments such as a new release or during promotional marketing campaigns.
Payments and Reporting
What is the cost to distribute content with Pivot?
There are no upfront fees to get started with Pivot. Once your content is distributed for streaming, you will share a negotiated percentage of revenue with Pivot.
When and how will I get paid?
Pivot provides fast, secure payments via PayPal. To receive your revenue share, you connect your PayPal account to your Pivot account. Revenue is paid on a quarterly basis, provided the quarterly payment meets the minimum payment threshold of $250. You can link your PayPal account within the Money section of your Pivot Account. Changes can be made in this same section.

Can I link my social media to support my marketing?
Pivot supports the social media platforms YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, with more on the way. Once your content goes live, you will also see data from Roku, Amazon Prime, Apple and other major streaming platforms.
I’m a distributor — can I access multiple title accounts?
Pivot is built to deliver data and personalized recommendations to individual producers. However, an update to support administrative accounts is coming soon.

What is a Super Fan link?
Super Fan links are generated every time you distribute new content trailers which help you promote your content and receive a percentage of monthly fees paid from subscribers who join Pivot through Super Fan links, whether they watch your content or other titles on the platform for the life of their subscription.
Super Fan links reduce time spent copying and pasting your titles into web links. You can also run pre-saved campaigns using private links ahead of release to ensure your followers get access to your content the minute it’s available.
Does Pivot offer finishing opportunities?
Yes, we offer finishing opportunities for various projects. Please contact us directly for our finishing services, as they vary by project.
When does my content go live once you have launched?
All content must undergo multi-factor review to ensure it meets quality content expectations. If errors are found during this pre-publish review, it can lengthen the publishing timeline. If no errors are detected, the title will typically go live within 2 to 4 business days. If you have content with a set future date due to availability, it will remain ready but unavailable in the catalog until the specified date.
Is there a minimum number of episodes required for a season?
Yes, a season must at least have 7 episodes.
Am I required to submit a complete season?
Yes, a complete season must be submitted.
Does Pivot provide measurable metrics?
Yes, Pivot provides daily metrics regarding subscriber data and revenue sharing figures.
Can I add keywords to a title’s metadata?
Yes, you can attach keywords to your titles, as well as genres, categories and many other differentiators. In fact, we can create custom fields for anything you need to attach to your title.
How do you evaluate content?
We look for content that aligns with our streaming model and our core values. We also evaluate content for quality, genre, release date, actors cue rating and viewer engagement/ratings.
